8 MoNtHs!

Oh my, where has the time gone! 8 months already...actually almost 9 months since I'm FINALLY getting to post!

• Sweet Pea is now a crawler...as of Christmas Eve!
• He is weighing 20 pounds!
• He is now saying da-ddy...sooo stinkin' cute, but really when is mama going to come out of that sweet little mouth?!
• He still LOVES to eat...everything, there is not a thing that he won't eat!
• He is sleeping well through the night...so nice!
• We are taking him off his acid reflux medicine...yippee!!!!

Hmmm...I wonder which of those will be for me...

Merry Christmas!

We have been very busy bees around here!!!! Oh my, where does the time go! We had a fabulous first Christmas with our little Sweet Pea! He was so much fun....and even started crawling on Christmas Eve! Sooooo cute!!!! You could just see the look in his eyes, how proud he was of himself!

7 MoNtHs...

Our little Sweet Pea turned 7 months old on Saturday....really, where does the time go! He is doing so many fun things now! He's sitting up like a pro, he's really, REALLY wanting to start crawling...he's getting closer and closer by the day and he just had his second hair cut! He's "talking" up a storm and loves to tell us the best "stories!" Sweet Pea is also getting a top tooth, in addition to the bottom two that are now just about all the way in AND he's working on an additional one, maybe two on the bottom!...needless to say, we're a droolin' machine these days! He's been a busy little bee!

Hmmm...this looks like fun stuff...



I think I might like to try it....

Happy Halloween!

We had the most fun first Halloween with our little Sweet Pea!!! We had a party on Saturday night and then passed out candy to all the neighborhood kiddos on Sunday.....can you guess who this mommy and daddy were supposed to be?!

The world's best Grandbunny made Sweet Pea's lion costume...soooo cute!

I made homemade pulled pork bbq sandwiches, "monster eyes," slime dip and a fiesta seven layer dip...yum! My mom helped me with the sweets...

As you can see, we are sitting up quite well now!

Yummy Oven Baked Chicken

We are having some yummy oven baked chicken for dinner tonight...it is so easy, so moist and delish!!!! My mom shared it with me a few weeks ago and we've already had it twice! Here is the recipe...

4-6 Chicken breasts
Ranch dressing
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1tsp. pepper

Marinate the chicken in the dressing (I just do it in the morning and it marinates while I'm at work). Mix together well the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and pepper. Coat the chicken and place on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is done. Serve it up with some fresh veggies, fruit and maybe a roll and there's your dinner! Mmm, mmm, good!

We are loving the cooler weather...finally! We took the little man to a local pumpkin patch after work the other night! So much fun! We went with his little buddy Bradley!

4 and 5 Month Pictures

Here are our 4 and 5 month pictures since I hadn't been able to post then until this past weekend!

We love our new gorilla Grandbunny got for us! I can just see him dragging this guy around the house one day!

We are now 5 months old and I can hardly believe it! Sweet Pea is in love with his toes right now, we discovered them about a week ago! So cute!

He can now roll over to his tummy and back to his back!

He's working hard at trying to sit up...I'm sure that is just around the corner!

He loves books!!!! We try to read at least one book a day and he's already trying to "turn" the pages! Ha!

Birthday Time

My birthday was the first of the month.....awww and I had a sweet little guy to spend it with this year!!! My parents came down to take us to dinner and brought party hats for Sweet Pea to try out! So cute!

He is such a good baby and oh so very sweet!

Sweet Pea loves his grandpa Jeff's cowboy hat!...not so sure why he looks scared in the picture, he was too cute when he was "wearing" it!

Time for Solids!

We got to start solids in August after our 4 month shots! Yummmmm...

So funny...at first, after every bite, he would kick his right leg up!

Eating is hard work Grandbunny!

Grandbunny came down to give a lesson on baby food making! We made lots of fresh veggies for our little Sweet Pea!

We LOVE to eat!!!! ...boy to do we get upset though when meal time is over! Butternut squash was first and since then we have had peas, zucchini, yellow squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, avocado, bananas, applesauce and pears...all homemade and fresh! Yummmmmmyyyy!

We are out after our yummy meals! Such hard work being a baby and so cute!
